Sleeptalking, Sleepwalking... Sleepdancing?

By now it was about 2:30AM. I was dozing off, but still curious about the sleepwalking, sleeptalking business. With nothing but an insatiable curiosity, I went to his room again. I needed to find out more about whatever was going on in his mind. Phones and Bubbles. Phones and Bubbles...
"Alan", I said silently by his bed. "Alan, wake up, I got the phone and some bubbles". I snickered. As I waited for some response, I decided to move him around, he was deep asleep. "Alan, wake up, I have the phone and the bubbles" I repeated again, somewhat louder than last time. Finally, a response.
He started to move around his arms, as if pushing something. I keep replaying those moments in my mind, and can't help but wonder if he was mimicking moving a boulder. "Hold on", he replied, and immediately added "Let me finish doing this". His hands continued to move in an upward motion, moving his right hand up, then down as he moved his left hand upwards as well, doing some sort of a circular motion.
"Doing what", I asked him. As usual, I received no response, so I asked again "What are you doing?". He replied "Can't you see? I'm doing this", as he said the last words, he continued to move around his arms. I decided it was time for a change of tactics. "How can I help you?" I asked him. "Wait, I'm almost done", he answered as he put his arms besides himself. He was still asleep, and I was still curious, but the night was getting the best out of me. I waited what seemed to be 30 minutes but was actually 30 seconds. "Done?" I asked him. He gave out a huge *sigh*, breathed deeply, and said "Huh?". He was waking up, and thats something I didn't want.
As I left his room I kept on thinking what had happened that night. But first, I had to get a good night's sleep.
Its finally time to catch some Z's...

Bubbles

I couldn't believe it. My brother had actually sleepwalked. He asked for a phone, and he was courteous.
I had to find out more.
I proceeded to talk to him while asleep. "Alan, I have the phone you asked for", I said. I had no response as expected. I started to shake him around a bit, left and right and said again "I have the phone you wanted", he silently mumbled "It's ..s.less wi...ut.. the b...bb..s...". "Huh?", I shook him a bit more. He replied "It's useless without the bubbles... ". He was sleep-talking now.
The bubbles. Was he still talking about the phone, or was it a different dream? I had to find out. "What bubbles?" I asked him, he replied "the phone's...". I couldn't get a hold of myself. I didn't expect any answer, and definitely didn't expect him to ask for bubbles or any bubble-powered phone.
I took a deep breath as to calm myself since I was trying hard not to laugh. Finally, I asked him "What do you need the bubbles for?". I waited for the reply, so I asked again "What do you need the bubbles for?". No reply again, so I decided it was time to step away and think about the situation.
Not only had he sleepwalked earlier that night to ask for a phone, but he also sleeptalked and mentioned what I assume is a bubble-powered phone.
Dreams are powerful canvases, they definitely let you expose your mind.
To be concluded...

Of Phones and Walkers
Transmitting data.... on 20080212225205.....
Subject: AARM0196-M
Introduction:
I knew that the subject was a sleeptalker, he often spits out random phrases, and quite often you can engage a conversation with him while asleep.
What I didn't know was that he sleep-walks too.....
Contents:
It was a dark and gloomy night. I was spending the night fixing bugs and testing my apps as usual, when the subject showed up right by my desk. The time was 23:46. The room was well lit, which must have caused him to have his eyes half-open, I assumed.
He approached me and said "I need a phone". Confused, I asked, "What do you need a phone for?", and he quickly replied "I need a phone, please". Please. That should've made me notice that something was wrong, but because I was either too caught up with work, or just didn't care I didn't notice at that moment. I asked again, "Who are you going to call in the middle of the night?", he replied "Forget it", turned around, and left.
After he left, I started asking myself what could he have wanted a phone for, so I grabbed my cellphone and went to his room, and found him in deep sleep. I pressed a few buttons on the phone so the screen would light up, and aimed it at his eyes. With the other hand, I moved his eyelids as to expose the naked eye to the light. No response.
And thats when it hit me... He's a sleepwalker...
To be continued...
